Now’s prime time to “ride the bull” and ride the Bowl on the Spokane River! There’s some great whitewater in Riverside State Park, including Class III rapids at local landmark Bowl and Pitcher Area!

Black Hole Falls

Black Hole Falls just might be the best waterfall in southwest Washington you’ve never heard of. You can access via a 9.6-mile roundtrip hike on the North Siouxon Creek trail. It’s going in the Day Hiking Mount St. Helens book.

Mt. St. Helens Mother’s Day climb

Sunday’s annual Mother’s Day Climb of Mt. St. Helens attracted around 1000 individuals, many of whom donned dresses and other costumery to honor moms everywhere. Sunny skies and great spring skiing conditions capped a record turnout for this fantastic event.
