Spar Lake

Spar Lake, Kootenai National Forest, western Montana. The calendar and the colors say autumn, but the persistent smoke in the air says it’s still wildfire season!

Smoky Slavin sunset

I’ve been busy with writing deadlines lately, so I haven’t had a chance to take the camera out, but last night I went out to one of my favorite places to shoot: Slavin Conservation Area, south of Spokane. Smoke from a brush fire in Spokane Valley added some interesting color to the sunset.
