The channeled scablands

Sunset over the channeled scablands of eastern Washington. The late spring and unusually heavy June rains have combined for great wildflowers in this normally arid region. Rather than fight the strong winds, I used a long exposure to accentuate the movement of the sea of color. I think it imparts a nice painterly effect.
